Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi is my current read and the only book I’m reading in July. It’s a Young Adult Fantasy novel and a lengthy read, 531 pages. This is a genre I seldom gravitate to, but the goal is to read outside my comfort zone this year. So far, it’s an interesting read; stay tuned for my review. Speaking of reviews, my other goal this month is to finally write reviews of my previous books. We have 16 days left this month; let’s see how many I can write before the end of the month.
Happy Friday! Happy Reading!
Fantasy is also a genre I rarely read but I think it’s good to get out of your comfort zone sometimes. I really ended up enjoying the last fantasy book I read. This one sounds interesting.

I read a bit of YA but not really the fantasy genre, however I keep reading about a huge renaissance in fantasy books with Black and other GMP main characters, which is so interesting. So I’ll look forward to your report on this one (though that’s LONG!).

Yes, fantasy is not my usual genre, but this book is quite entertaining so far. I would read the sequel at some point.
